PHARRELL WILLIAMS releases "RM 52-05 TOURBILLON" in collaboration with RICHARD MILLE
Since ancient times, humans have observed space from Earth. But with the RM 52-05 Tourbillon Pharrell Williams watch, people can observe the Earth from Mars, a perspective that expresses one of Pharrell Williams’ dreams. This new model almost achieves this goal, as interpreted by Richard Mille's creative development team: an engraver, an enameller and a painter, who work together to create an extraordinary contemporary Unconventional watchmaking pieces.
Pharrell, a man from another planet. Perhaps the word that best sums up Pharrell Williams is “universal”—in every sense of the word. He felt a deep connection with the universe early on. So it's no surprise that Pharrell has been a huge Star Trek fan since he was a kid, as anyone who knows who has seen him use the Vulcan salute when conveying the name of his brand Star Trak. He never concealed his fascination with the universe, or the deep spiritual awareness he derived from it, and the wholeness at the center of things.
“To create is to change the perspective from which we see things, and that’s really the only difference, with RM 52-05 we see Mars from a different angle, an unexpected first-person perspective. In every aspect of my work, I always look for Something different, something new, and working with Richard Mille provides an opportunity to go where no one else has gone before.
